Mouse Computer Japan has announced the new LuvPad WN701, a ruggedized tablet that is splash-proof and shockproof plus it comes pre-installed with Windows 7 OS. The tablet comes with IP44 certification, meaning it has the ability withstand water splashes and will also survive a 70cm drop, which should be enough protection if it accidentally falls out your lap.

The tablet comes equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen display that offers a 1024768 pixel resolution, it is powered by an Intel Atom Z650 processor, theres a 32GB SSD and 2GB of RAM.

iOS Users Spend More Per App than Amazon Appstore Users, But Just Barely

Mobile apps are a huge source of revenue, and not just for developers, but owners of app stores as well. Apple rakes in the most loot with its highly popular iOS platform, however Amazon is quickly closing the gap, at least in terms of revenue per active user. This is something that Flurry, a mobile analytics firm and monetization platform, has been studying for quite some time and the results are bit surprising.

Flurry’s latest data represents an attempt to compare the ability for app developers to generate revenue across three major app stores — Apple’s App Store/iTunes, Amazon’s Appstore for Android, and Google Play (formerly Android Market).


“We examine a basket of top-ranked apps that have similar presence across iOS, Amazon and Android,” Flurry explains. Read more…

Moog Gets Cheeky, Releases iPad App Filled With Fart Sounds

Its a dirty little secret that people like to play with their iOS devices while sitting on the toilet. So why not an app that lets you recreate that experience when youre away from the porcelain throne?

Moog Music has released a new extension pack for its Animoog iPad synth that explores the lower end of the sonic spectrum by tapping into the sounds generated by the lower ends of our digestive tracts.

In other words, the company has added fart sounds to the Animoog app.

With a release date of April 1st, its easy to dismiss this as a joke.
