Microsoft is planning on leaving CES after 2012

I have been going to CES for several years, and Microsoft has always had significant presence there. They always have a huge booth that is located at the entrance of Central hall, and you literally cant miss it. This is going to change.

This change will not occur at CES 2012, but at CES 2013. Microsoft has recently stated that We wont have a keynote or booth after this year because our product news milestones generally dont align with the shows January timing.

I cant say that I blame Microsoft. After all, they are a company so big that they can just announce something via the Internet, and it will be the biggest tech news by the end of the day.
