MSI’s Ultrathin X600 Officially Released In US

The attractive and ultraslim MSI X600 laptop has been officially launched and is ready for sale in the US. The X600 notebook will feature some decent specs for a decent price, but the most attractive thing about it will be its size. Packed within its tiny frame is a 1.4GHz Core 2 Solo CPU and an ample 4GB RAM, along with a 320GB HDD and ATI HD 4330 graphics. The display is 15.6″ WXGA and the laptop will come bundled with an external DVD drive.

MSI To Releases Wind U210 Running AMD

MSI has announced an upcoming European launch of the Wind U210, an AMD-friendly variant of the Intel-running Wind U200. The MSI Wind U210 will come in two flavors, the U210-002 and the U210-010. The former will feature an Athlon Neo MV-40 1.6GHz CPU with 1GB RAM and a 160GB HDD, and will also run Windows XP. That version will start at €399. The latter gives a little more breathing room for that Neo MV-40 by supplying 2GB RAM and a 250GB HDD – but then takes all that breathing room away by running Windows Vista Home Premium on it rather than XP. Kohjinsha releases 11.6 inch touchscreen convertible netbook

The release date of Windows 7 is getting near, and more companies are producing touchscreen capable netbooks. Kohjinsha has joined the pack with their latest EX6 touchscreen convertible netbook/tablet.

The netbook is equipped with 11.6 inch resistive touchscreen with 1366×768 pixels and uses Intel Atom N270 1.60 GHz processor with Intel 945GSE chipset. It offers up to 2 GB RAM and 160 GB hard drive. It also includes a DVD Burner, Wi-Fi b/g/n, Bluetooth, two USB 2.0 ports and gigabit Ethernet. There is also an Express card 54 slot with SDHC and microSD card readers. Optional fingerprint reader is also available.

How Do You Define Broadband?

With government initiatives underway to hopefully improve our broadband lives here in the US, the first item on the list appears to be defining exactly what broadband is. Or rather, what definition the government will use. Some say it has to do with speed, some see it as a different picture.

The FCC is looking for input and has published a Public Notice to that effect. You can read more about it on broadband.gov and here is the link to submit brief comments. Longer comments with attachments can be submitted here.
