Lenovo Debuts ThinkPad Edge Notebooks

These notebooks are geared towards small business users and offer affordability along with portability due to AMD options as well as Intel.

The 13″ Edge notebooks now available will feature a 1366×768 LED backlit resolution and either Intel Core 2 Duo or AMD Athlon Neo X2 CPUs. The AMD chips will be paired with an ATI Radeon HD 3200 for graphics, while the Intel offering will use GMA 4500MHD.

Both versions of the laptop will have up to 4GB RAM, a 320GB HDD, 802.11n and optional Bluetooth/3G connectivity. They will run Windows 7 Professional and offer just under 8 hours of battery life while weighing in at 3.6lbs. Read more…

Apple yesterday sent out an invitation to journalists to come and see their “latest creation.” And there’s nary a soul out there who doesn’t think this means the long awaited Apple tablet is even more unofficially official than ever.

In the great wide world of Apple rumors, the Apple tablet currently reigns supreme, and a recent strong second to it was the thought that there would be some kind of big announcement about it on January 27th. Google Threatens to Pull out of China, Citing Censorship and Cyberhacking

Recently, Google made a very bold and very public threat that they would pull out of China due to concerns over increased censorship and sophisticated hacker attacks that they have traced to China. If it happens, it will come as a shock to business analysts everywhere, since China is the #1 growing market for something Google covets – internet users.

There has always been friction both within and outside of Google concerning their operations there. Before building a complex there and establishing Google.cn, Google had to consent to a certain degree of self-censorship in order to be approved by the government, an idea they were never comfortable with.
