ASRock revives old AMD 480X board with UCC to support 6 core processors on ASRock M3A UCC
2010
ASRock always surprises us. I am not sure if it is because they are just demonstrating their technology capability or do they have large volumes to clear.
Anyway, remember the old AMD 480X chipset, the discrete chipset supporting the AM2 processors. ASRock is able to support AM3 processors and has the UCC feature on it.
UCC is ASRock’s answer to unlocking a 4 core turning it into a 6 core.
