Digital TV Antenna for Newbie
2010
You can laugh and say that TV antennas are a relic of a forgotten time. With your 500 channel satellite package or your 14 premium cable movie channels, you can really laugh…until you get your bill. Many people are turning to digital TV antenna to get the same audio quality that you pay a lot of money, all for free. There are several benefits to OTA (Over-the-air) reception and I will give you some tips to choose the best antenna for HDTV in your area.
Broadcast HDTV channels are the best of the best .
The transition to digital television is bringing with it the solutions to the most boring 2 analog broadcasting troubles, picture ghosting and snow. Digital television channels have a clear, ghost-free image and sound.
If you have never known what a digital TV antenna can do for you, here are some reasons to consider this:
* Over-the-air (OTA) digital TV channels are free. With the exception of money you pay for your antenna, receiving digital stations with a HDTV antenna is free.
* You have access to your local channels. Many satellite and cable companies will not consider local stations in your area. On many systems, you have access to some of your local stations in exchange for a monthly payment.
* Free access to stations that are out of town. It is possible that using the necessary equipment, you can receive out of town stations and often be able to capture some sport events that are generally not available in your area.
* Over-the-air reception gives you the best image quality. If your satellite or cable company can offer 500 channels, don’t forget that it comes with a price. They use data compression techniques that reduce the sound and picture quality of your program often adding distortions.
Also, in addition to your HDTV antenna, you will also need a HDTV tuner that will help you receive these digital TV channels. But if this option is already built in your TV it is a plus for you and you are ready to rock.

Take the guess work out of choosing your antenna. Simply buy the best most powerful one available, the Winegard Square Shooter 2000. Real simple.
You are not making it simple for people, you are speaking/writing in a language most people don’t understand. For instance, HDTV tuner. What the hell is that? Are you referring to the converter box that the lying government provided coupons for back in Feb. 2008?
People have already heard the complicated, ambiguous version of this story time and time again and they are turned off, tuned out completely. Also, you mentioned in your above-article that there are several benefits to switching to this free over-the-air (ota) digital tv. Hell, there’s nothing but benefits … esp. for those who are sick and tired of paying the crooks who kept this information a big damned secret to begin with. It’s difficult to put into words how wonderful it is to be back in control of my tv viewing and not having to pay anyone for crappy service and poor quality tv programs full of commercial advertisements. When the paytv industry came along they promised that we wouldn’t be subjected to commercials and ads if we paid them. Greedy liars and assholes is what they are.
