Intel’s PineTrail platform release is around the corner and more netbooks are hitting the FCC with the new chipset. The Fujitsu LifeBook M380 based on PineTrail is spotted with modest specification details.
The netbook will include Intel’s Atom N450 1.66GHz processor with on-die graphics engine and memory controller. This setup will reduce the current 3-chip design to 2-chip design that will decrease system complexity and result in lower power draw. However, performance improvements might not be a part of this upgrade. The 10.1-inch LCD will have 1,366 x 768 resolution. Connectivity includes Atheros Wi-Fi b/g/n and Realtek Ethernet.
The netbooks based on PineTrail are expected to give longer battery timings. Details regarding pricing are hidden. However, the netbook is expected to be announced at CES in January.
