Apple yesterday sent out an invitation to journalists to come and see their “latest creation.” And there’s nary a soul out there who doesn’t think this means the long awaited Apple tablet is even more unofficially official than ever.
In the great wide world of Apple rumors, the Apple tablet currently reigns supreme, and a recent strong second to it was the thought that there would be some kind of big announcement about it on January 27th. I suppose we can probably upgrade that second rumor to fact (or as close as fact as we will ever get from Apple) with this latest declaration. Something is coming on the 27th, and it’s something big and new. It’s not just a new product or a press release – this is their “latest creation.”
The artsy nature of the image has led some to believe that the speculation that the iSlate (or whatever it’s called) will be geared towards artists and visual designers may have been right. In a short time, we’ll all find out for certain though, and the one safe bet is that we’re going to get a bit more “wow” factor than last week’s announcements from Microsoft.
