I have been using NTI Shadow for several years, and I love it. It is my favorite software. I have version 4 on both my laptops (both Windows 7, one 32bit, one 64), and it works flawlessly, plus I use it at work on a Windows XP desktop. I never have problems with it, but the few times I have asked questions, customer service was outstanding. When we leave before evacuating from hurricanes (I live on the Texas coast), I always feel secure after comparing the bytes in my backup (source and destination) because they always match! I use the one-way, scheduled backup, but you can also set it to real time (continuous backup) or you can even use the two-way backup for it to keep two computers matching by backing up the latest version to the other pc. I love that Shadow backs up files in their native format so that you do not need to unzip them or use software to view them…you just click on your backed up files and view them like you do on your computer. I also like it that I can backup empty folders if I have created a structure that I want kept intact, even if a folder is temporarily empty. And it is important to me that if I delete a file on the source pc that it is deleted on the destination pc. I hope that NTI never changes this software very much because I love it just as it is. I write a review for it when I am given the opportunity because I want to make sure that this program continues to be available for a long, long time! It deserves to be — it is awesome! I do not use the NINJA that comes with it because I don’t need encryption, so I can’t evaluate that part of it, but I can honestly say NTI Shadow is worthy of a 5 star rating!
