Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg never takes off his hoodie, but the questioning was so hot on Wednesday night at the All Things D conference that, in a noticeable sweat, he doffed his trademark duds to reveal a Facebook seal and motto on the interior. Mr. Zuckerberg faced questions on privacy and whether he will stay on as Facebook CEO if the company goes public.

Following Mr. Zuckerberg’s performance, director James Cameron announced that “Titanic” will be re-released in 3-D in 2012. He also talked about his use of technology in movies and how, given his experience with deep-water submarines on films like “Titanic” and the documentary “Aliens of the Deep,” he’s been working with BP and the government on the oil leak in the Gulf of Mexico.

Thursday’s highlight came from Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer, who talked about Microsoft’s increasing competition with Google. He described Google’s development of two operating systems — Android and Chrome — as “ridiculous” and said it doesn’t make sense to him. And he wished Google and Apple “good luck getting lots of experience” in antitrust law, a subject that Microsoft knows well and that its two competitors are beginning to learn as they get larger.

Mr. Ballmer also said the PC is still going to be central to computing — and that the iPad is just another type of PC. It’s yet another difference between Microsoft and Apple; Apple CEO Steve Jobs said earlier at the conference that more people would be using tablets like the iPad than PCs in the future.

It’s no question that tablets are one of the hottest gadgets coming to market, and Dell demonstrated its latest offering — the Android-based, 5-inch-long Streak tablet.
