The patent trolls are at it again, and this time beloved music streaming service Spotify is the victim. Nearly immediately upon its entry into the US market, the company has been sued by PacketVideo, a subsidiary of Japanese wireless carrier NTT DoCoMo, for violation of patent 5,636,276, “Device for the distribution of music information in digital form.”
