Super Talent Storage POD Mini Portable USB 3.0 Solid State Drive

Super Talent has announced its new storage device, the Storage POD Mini Portable USB 3.0 Solid State Drive. It measures 110mm x 68mm x 10mm which means its easy to travel with and ideal for users who are constantly on-the-go. It features an all-aluminum casing to protect the device and to make the device more durable. The Storage POD Mini uses a SandForce SSD processor and supports the USB 3.0 interface, it promises to deliver an ultra fast 260MB/s data transfer speed.

The Storage POD from Super Talent comes in three different models, there is a 60GB, 120GB and 240GB model.

PCI-e 3.0 provides 9% increase in performance in compute tasks for AMD Radeon HD 7970

PCI-Express 3.0 has been here for a little while now, but it has only been with the launch of the PCI-Express 3.0-capable AMD Radeon HD 7000-series that there has been some proper testing. The world’s first 28nm GPU to support PCI-e 3.0 is here, people!    PCIe 3.0 increases per-land bandwidth from 500MB/sec to 1GB/sec, this means for an x16 slot, double the bandwidth from 8GB/sec to 16GB/sec. Microsoft is planning on leaving CES after 2012

I have been going to CES for several years, and Microsoft has always had significant presence there. They always have a huge booth that is located at the entrance of Central hall, and you literally cant miss it. This is going to change.

This change will not occur at CES 2012, but at CES 2013. Microsoft has recently stated that We wont have a keynote or booth after this year because our product news milestones generally dont align with the shows January timing.

I cant say that I blame Microsoft. After all, they are a company so big that they can just announce something via the Internet, and it will be the biggest tech news by the end of the day.

Amazon’s expanded its server footprint for a second time just over a month, this time opening a data center serving customers in South America.

The cloud pioneer that everybody’s now racing to catch has opened its first South American Region facility with a server farm running in São Paulo, Brazil’s capital.
