Ah, yes, the digital age is truly upon us. Forget about getting high on pot, quaaludes, speed, blow, acid, heroin, opium and yes – whippets. That’s right: digital is in, baby.

Now you can turn on, tune in, drop out and i-Dose.

All you have to do is find an online dealer willing to hook you up with MP3s capable of inducing what some users describe as an ecstatic high on par with marijuana, cocaine, opium and peyote.

“I-Dosing involves donning headphones and listening to ‘music’ – largely a droning noise – which the sites peddling the sounds promise will get you high,” explained Wired’s Ryan Singel.

“Teens are listening to such tracks as ‘Gates of Hades,’ which is available on YouTube gratis.

Pentax Optio I-10 Compact Retro-Designed Digital Camera


Pentax has released an a new black-and-silver version with a new retro design to their PENTAX Optio I-10 camera which was released earlier this year. The new version shares the same specs as the older version which includes a 12.1 megapixels sensor, a 2.7-inch LCD display, a 5X optical zoom lens that offers a 28mm wide-angle coverage, records 720p HD videos in 1280×720 pixel resolution, then saves them on its 26.7MB of built-in memory. The Device also supports SD or SDHC memory cards.

Magellan announces eXplorist 510, 610, and 710 handheld GPS units

GPS maker Magellan might be getting into the iPhone accessory business, but they haven’t forgotten the handheld GPS market. The company just announced three new additions to their eXplorist line of products, the 510, 610, and 710. Ranging from $350 to $550 they offer an upper range of products above the company’s $200 geocaching focused eXplorist GC.
