Lulz Security pwns and owns Arizona law enforcement

Lulz Security has published sensitive data hacked and extracted from Arizona law enforcement networks.

Released under the banner of “Chinga La Migra Bulletin #1,” the information includes hundreds of private intelligence bulletins, training manuals, personal email correspondence, names, phone numbers, addresses and passwords.

“We are targeting AZDPS specifically because we are against SB1070 and the racial profiling anti-immigrant police state that is Arizona,” the  group explained in an official communiqué. <

HP TouchPad 7-inch tablet due this August?

In just a few days, HP’s first TouchPad units will be showing off their webOS sexiness on retail shelves across the U.S. — and then heading quickly to the U.K., Ireland, France, and Germany. Canadians (yours truly included) will be able to pick up their 9.7″ slabs on July 15th.

HP has done a good job so far of building buzz for the TouchPad, and demo units have already arrived at some U.S. Walmart stores. And I’m not talking about cheesy dummy units, either — HP’s loaned out fully-functional TouchPads so that customers can get a little hands-on time with webOS and see what it’s all about.

Terremark-Verizon cloud service ready to go

Ten weeks after completing its $1.4 billion acquisition of Terremark, Verizon is ready to roll out an expanded set of cloud services powered by nearly 50 data centers around the globe.

The merger brought together Terremark’s IT-centric brand and Verizon’s network-centric brand, while a “reverse integration” pushed Verizon employees and data centers under the Terremark operating model, says Kerry Bailey, a Verizon executive who is now president of Terremark Worldwide.
