PlayStation App coming to iPhone and Android Smartphones

Sony has announced via its Playstation blog that they are about to launch an official PlayStation app for iPhone and iPod Touch with OS 4 and above and Android Devices with 1.6 OS and above. The PlayStation App will be available free and will allows users to check out their PlayStation Network trophies, their online status, latest game updates, new hardware for your PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PSP as well as keep updated with friends.

The Official PlayStation App will also update you when there are new announcement available from the official PlayStation blog plus there is a social networking option that allows users to share their favorite products on Twitter and Facebook.

Acer Aspire One AOD255 Netbook Dual Boots Android and Windows XP

You can get a phone with Android. You can get a tablet with Android. But why stop there? Today at the Taipei Computer Applications show, Acer showed off its new Aspire One AOD255 netbook, which duals boots Android and Windows XP. The notebook comes with pretty standard hardware you’d expect of a 10-inch netbook these days: 1GB of DDR2 RAM, a 160GB The storage device that holds your OS, programs, and data.Learn Morehard drive, and a 1.66-GHz Atom N450 CPU.

The netbook will carry a list price of NT $11,900 or approximately $375 U.S. For that price, you get only a 3-cell battery, but a 6-cell option will be available for another $95, a salesman told PC World.

AOL launches new mobile portal and Android apps

AOL has struggled to reinvent itself in the image of Google, but the company’s latest announcement about its new mobile portal and Android applications shows that the company is at least heading in the right direction.

A new smartphone portal, located at http://m.aol.com, has been designed to work on any mobile browser. The portal will even provide a touch-driven interface for smartphones which support HTML5, which includes iPhone and Android devices. Contents on the portal include location-based services for local weather, movie and traffic. S

Google’s week in review: Google TV, Pac-Man, Android and more acquisitions

Where to start? Google aired new initiatives left and right at its Google I/O developer conference, such as Google TV and the Android 2.2 OS, but also made plenty of other headlines good and bad.
