Lytro has unveiled its revolution in camera technology, it is a completely new type of camera which operates by capturing all the rays of light in the scene unlike other cameras that focus pixels. The camera comes in a compact case that measures 41 mm x 41 mm x 112 mm, it weighs only 7.55 oz (214 g) and was constructed using an extruded anodized aluminum which means it is tough and will protect itself against corrosion.
The Light Field camera comes with an f/2 lens, it has 8x optical zoom and only has two buttons for powering the device and one for the shutter capture.
Panasonic has released a new compact camera called the one Lumix FX90, this new point-and-shoot comes equipped with a 12.1-megapixel Hi-Speed CCD sensor and WiFi 802.11 b/g/n connectivity which enables the user to instantly transfer photos to a computer or smartphone. Leica has introduced a new digital camera which could be described as the twin of the Leica M9 that was introduced sometime back. The Leica M9-P comes equipped with an 18-megapixel CCD image sensor, it comes with a 2.5-inch LCD display which is used to preview captured images, the LCD display comes with an anti-reflective coating and it is also scratch resistant. DXG introduces its latest innovation, the DXG-018 Pocket 3D Camera which enables users to capture three-dimensional photos from a pocket-sized digital camera. The DXG-018 Pocket 3D Camera features dual-lens and is equipped with a 0.3 Megapixel CMOS sensor for capturing up to 1.3 Megapixel side-by-side 3D images. Without its 3D capture technology it would be considered as a really low-end camera as it only features a 1.44-inch LCD display, it is powered by two AAA batteries.
