Razer set to release Chimaera 5.1 wireless headset for Xbox 360, pre-order now for April delivery

Razer is really pumping out some sweet peripherals and accessories for the Xbox 360 and their new Chimaera 5.1 wireless headset is no exception. The Xbox 360 headset is now listed for pre-order and comes in at $199.99. Sure, that sounds expensive but considering surround sound systems are usually a fair bit more than that, it’s not bad at all.

 

 

The Razer Chimaera headset has a great list of features, it’s of course, wireless, 5.1 Dolby Surround Sound capable, has a dedicated local voice channel, circumaural ear cups, PC compatible and includes up to 8 hours of battery life. <

The TouchPad, Pre 3 and Veer: A new beginning or end for HP?

A few days ago I analyzed the bar for what we now know as the HP TouchPad, which was one of the three products HP announced today.  



The big surprise was the virtual elimination of the Palm brand which, given how far it had fallen off, seemed like a smart move but it may have put at risk the core remaining Palm fans.

Toshiba Used Nano-Technology For This Color-Changing Laptop

Considering most of Toshiba’s laptops have a design only their R&D department can love, they must’ve turned to the mood rings of yesteryear for styling inspiration with their Dynabook Qosmio T750. Supposedly it’s the first-ever color-changing laptop.

Unfortunately it doesn’t change color like a chameleon, but instead uses nano-technology for the metallic look, which changes from green through to blue and then purple. The effect was achieved without using any metal, making it kinder to the environment according to Toshiba.

Under all that gloss, there are some powerful components ticking away to ensure it’s got brains as well as beauty: there’s a 2.66GHz Intel Core i5-480M, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, plus a 750GB HDD.
