Super Talent has announced its new Storage Pod USB 3.0 Hard Drive External Storage device that offers a max storage of 500GB and will deliver speeds of up to 90 MB/s when being used with a USB 3.0 compatible system. The Storage Pod is USB-powered plus it is lightweight weighing at a mere 200 grams. The Super Talent Storage Pod USB 3.0 Hard Drive is priced at $99.99 and will start shipping in early January.

Transcend launched its its StoreJet 25D3 2.5-inch shockproof portable hard drive. The StoreJet 25D3 is one of the first USB 3.0 compatible peripherals introduced to the market. It offers a transfer speeds of up to 90MB/s which is up to 10X faster than Hi-Speed USB 2.0. The 25D3 is also backward compatible with USB 2.0, allowing users to access their files from nearly any computer.
The StoreJet 25D3 is available in in 250GB, 320GB, 500GB and 640GB capacities and sports a seemingly delicate case with gloss piano finish. The Drives also incorporates internal suspension technology for protection from shock and damage from accidental slips or falls during travel.
The A-DATA NH92 is a super slim portable hard drive, claimed to be the world’s slimmest. Measuring in at only 12mm tall, it can easily fit in a pocket to be carried around, holding 250 or 500GB of data. With a USB interface and durable shock-protected design it is aimed at netbook and notebook users, and comes in 3 different colors.
Tech-heads know Hitachis Deskstar hard disk line for its 1TB variant, but that may soon change, as the company recently rolled out a 2 terabyte variant.
