Nokia Booklet 3G Review

The Nokia Booklet 3G was quite a surprise when it was first announced. With it, Nokia wants to differentiate itself by building a Netbook with a top-notch construction quality, a small footprint (it fits in a large purse) and small weight: only 2.64lbs. On top of that, the Nokia Booklet 3G has a very long real-world battery life. It seems like the perfect Netbook, but it has one significant downside: performance. You do know that Netbooks are slow, but you will have to realize that the Booklet 3G is even slower, so it is definitely not for everyone.

NOKIA BOOKLET 3G REVIEW


The Nokia Booklet 3G hit the market with a great deal of hype. It is the first netbook from Nokia, a company well known for its cell phones. Needless to say the Booklet 3G was one of the most awaited netbooks of the year.

Build quality
Build quality is good. Nokia has encased the laptop in a thick aluminum chassis. The machine weighs just 1kg and measures 2cm in thickness.

Screen
The Booklet 3G has a 10 inch display. According to people who reviewed the netbook, the glossy display is nice with good color and contrast.

Keyboard and touchpad

Nokia Booklet 3G Revealed, Priced

After generating a lot of buzz, the Booklet 3G has finally seen the light of day at Nokia World ’09. But is it a netbook or a notebook? News first broke a little over a week ago that the 3G Booklet was coming, but we finally have some important data like pricing. The 3G Booklet is an ultralight 10.1″ machine, weighing in like a featherweight at 1.25Kg (roughly 2.75lbs) and a measuring up like a supermodel at 19.9mm (roughly .78″) thick. The next most attractive thing about this laptop is assuredly the battery life, which is rated at 12 hours thanks to a 16-cell user-removable battery. Read more…
