Apple won’t like this: HP files for “PalmPad” trademark

A site discovered that Hewlett-Packard filed for “PalmPad” trademark with the United States Patent and Trademark Office, presumably to be used with an upcoming webOS-powered portable device code-named “Hurricane”.

A trademark application reveals the “PalmPad” name and logo you see above. PreCentral pointed to the document and noted it lists the trademark in numerous categories, including computers, computer hardware, computer software, computer peripherals, portable computers, handheld and mobile computers, PDAs, electronic notepads, and mobile digital electronic devices.
