BitFenix Raider computer case exclusive hands-on video preview

Earlier this week we visited the BitFenix office here in Taipei and got a look at its brand new Raider computer case which is being released today.    David from BitFenix in the video below introduces us to the Raider. He explains that the Raider is 100% focused on airflow with a mesh finish from the top all the way to the front of the case. The case features the nice and smooth BitFenix SofTouch finish – even the power button and fan controller switch on the top front right of the case features the SofTouch treatment. On violence and video games

The never-ending debate about the alleged link between violence and video games has hit the news yet again.

I’ll state right now I’m not a big believer that movies, video games, books and music cause violence. 

I think when people claim they do, it’s usually a knee jerk reaction to a tragedy, or a nationwide problem.

Back in the fifties, comic books were blamed for juvenile delinquency, (the censors against comics were saying Batman and Robin were gay, and that Wonder Woman was “a sadistic lesbian”), artists like Ozzy and Slayer came under fire when the Parents Music Resource Center wanted albums labeled, and violent movies came under the hammer like never before post-Columbine.

Chrome adds open-source WebM video support

The developer’s build of Google’s Chrome browser now includes WebM, the open-source and royalty-free video technology that allows browsers to use cutting-edge streaming video features without publishers paying.

In the new Chrome dev released on Thursday for Windows, Mac, and Linux, Google has baked in support for the VP8- and Ogg Vorbis-powered, next-generation WebM codec.

The developer’s build of Chrome is now the third major browser to support WebM, along with versions of Firefox and Opera that are still in development. Chromium, the open-source fountainhead of Chrome, added rudimentary support in mid-May.
