HP Talks Up webOS Netbook, Just in Time for February 9 Press Event

In addition to new slate and smart phone devices, an HP training video hints that webOS, the current last-place mobile operating platform, will find its way onto a netbook this year.

The rumor was reinforced  in an CNBC interview with HP personal systems chief Tom Bradley. Bradley responded to a question about an HP-webOS tablet saying, “We believe that the tablet is one piece of that ecosystem, one piece of the connected experience that we are going to create.”

The flaw, which allows a perpetrator to control the recording of phone calls at will and sends them back to the source of the rogue vCard, was reported to Palm in May, according to Alex Fidgin, director of MWR InfoSecurity, the company that discovered the vulnerability.
