Zune Dock Proves Other MP3 Players Are Allowed Accessories, Too

It’s not the first Zune dock (I believe Altec Lansing has the honor there), but this ZN90B one from iHome features an all-important alarm function and fits both Zune and Zune HD models.

The ZN90B dock is available for pre-order now, for $100, and has AM/FM presets, EQ controls and iHome’s “Reson8″ speaker chambers for what they’re calling “astounding clarity, depth and power.” It takes a pair of AA batteries when you’re on the move, otherwise is charged via the AC charger. Available sometime this month, it’d make a nice buy for anyone who wants to charge their Zune while playing music—otherwise, you’re probably better off just plugging the Zune into your existing audio set-up via the 3.5mm jack. Twitter App For Your Zune HD Is Here

Zune HD owners can now rejoice, as Microsoft has released a Twitter application for the Zune HD. That’s the good news, so what’s the bad news? Well, some folks are experiencing slight installation problems with it, but we’re fairly sure that it can be sorted out. One of the things that might irk you is the fact that the program censors tweets, so if you often use a lot of swear words in your tweets, you’re going to be more than a little disappointed. Still, having a Twitter app is better than not having it, right?

MICROSOFT OFFERS FREE 3D GAMES FOR ZUNE HD


The Zune HD is a portable media player from Microsoft. It was released on September 15, 2009. The device is available in 16GB and 32GB capacities.

The Zune HD has a touchscreen interface for navigation. The machine is powered by a NVIDIA Tegra processor. The optional HDMI Zune dock feature allows content to be transferred on to a high definition television. Otherwise, you can watch videos on the player’s OLED display.

The device offers excellent battery life. Audio quality is good, so it its ability to handle HD video. On the flip side, the screen is small. I Read more…

Zune HD AV Dock and other accessories detailed, priced

Since the Zune HD’s 480 x 272 OLED display isn’t actually high-enough resolution to display the 720p video the PMP is capable of, we’ve been waiting to see how much Microsoft charge for their official Zune HD AV Dock.  That accessory – and the rest of of the Zune HD peripheral range – have finally been added to the Microsoft Store for preorder along with the touchscreen PMP itself.
